WHO IS BETTER PATH & WHAT DO WE OFFER

Better Path is a recovery-focused organization dedicated to helping individuals overcome substance use disorders, mental health challenges, and destructive life patterns through compassionate, holistic support.

Founded on the belief that healing is possible for everyone, Better Path provides a person-centered approach that addresses the mind, body, and spirit while encouraging accountability, personal growth, and long-term recovery.

The organization was inspired by the legacy of Kenneth Mitchell, whose personal journey from incarceration to entrepreneurship became the foundation for Better Path’s mission of redemption, second chances, and transformation. His story continues to serve as a reminder that a person’s past does not determine their future.

Today, under the leadership of Tyra Mitchell, CEO, Better Path continues to expand its vision of creating a supportive and empowering environment where individuals can rebuild their lives, restore hope, and discover a healthier path forward.

Case Management Support

Life doesn't stop while you're working on recovery. Our team helps connect participants with community resources, benefits, employment support, healthcare services, and other tools that can help create a stronger foundation for long-term success.

Medication Management Support

Managing medications can sometimes feel overwhelming. We help coordinate communication between participants, providers, and treatment staff to support continuity of care and ensure treatment plans remain on track.

Urinalysis Screening

Urinalysis screenings are incorporated as a supportive accountability measure throughout treatment. Conducted in a respectful and professional manner, screenings help participants monitor progress and reinforce their commitment to recovery.

Housing Support Resources

Safe and stable housing can play a critical role in recovery. We assist participants with accessing housing resources and supportive living opportunities designed to promote structure, accountability, and a recovery-focused environment.

Transportation Assistance (program/housing based)

Getting to treatment shouldn't be a barrier to receiving help. Transportation assistance may be available for program-related services and housing needs, helping participants remain connected to the care and support they need.

DUI/DWI Education Classes

Better Path also offers DUI/DWI education services for individuals needing court-ordered or self-referred educational programming.
